About Annie’s Pooch Pops

Annie’s Pooch Pops started over 20 years ago to provide the pet industry with a super-premium, gourmet treat that was healthy and aesthetically appealing to both pet and owner. 

The business started with humble roots in the family’s kitchen. As demand increased, Annie’s Pooch Pops rented a kitchen overnight from a local restaurant. Cooking from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. wasn’t easy but eventually the business moved into its first dedicated facility, a 4,000 square foot barn in northern New Jersey horse country. In 2017, Annie’s Pooch Pops settled into a 20,000 square human-grade food facility in Bangor, Pennsylvania.

Pooch Into Our Family

Matt McInerney, the current owner of Annie’s Pooch Pops, named his childhood dog 'Annie' in homage to Little Orphan Annie. Annie was a rescued golden retriever/corgi mix with a strawberry-blonde coat. Matt and Annie were inseparable and truly embodied the phrase of man’s best friend. Acquiring the Annie’s Pooch Pops business was the perfect opportunity for Matt to honor the legacy of a revered family member.

We are dedicated to Animal Welfare. Lincoln dutifully serves as the Official Taste Tester at Annie’s Pooch Pops. Rescued as a stray dog from Georgia, his life dramatically changed for the better upon joining the McInerney family in November 2017.
